OPTIMISM IS BAD

Having hope for the future – especially the future of America – is a problem. Being a hopeless wreck has always had a way better track record.

In true lemming fashion, liberals have latched on to the Coronavirus doom and gloom, using it as an excuse to attack personal liberty. But to take it a step further some have even found a way to once again espouse their disbelief in American excellence.

The notion that America might find an innovative way to deal with COVID-19, or that it might not even be as bad as reported, is just too much for the mind of liberals. To them, the idea of solving a problem quickly and effectively doesn’t exist. Liberals often feel they are not capable of solving their own problems, and so assume that nobody else has such abilities. It produces a negative outlook on life that influences their attitude toward everything.

What many liberals fail to see is that America’s success is largely built on optimism. Even going back to the founding of the colonies – it was optimists who had the gumption to travel across the world to an unsettled land because they believed life could be better. And again when the founding fathers believed that a better means of governance was possible, they started a revolution. Not because they were Debbie Downers, but because they had the vision to see a better future and act on it. And that trend continued for many generations – all of them with one thing in common: They took action because they believed deeply that they could make life better for themselves and for their loved ones.
